Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Psalm 46 draws a stormy, turbulent picture. The words "Be still" are not the insipid lullaby of the popular chorus, but a sovereign command. Something remarkably similar happens in Mark 4:35-41. A fierce storm is blowing, and a boat is about to be swamped. Aboard, all but one fear for their lives. Yet He stands and with the very same words stills the wind and the waves to a whisper. But now, rather than being relieved, His friends are terrified. “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!” To which Psalm 46 responds "and know I am God".

Thanks, that's a good way of looking at it and not one I'd considered :)
